graum.xyz – raum für freien text und dichtung (graum.xyz – space for libre text and poetry) was founded in 2015 and has been run collectively as a publisher ever since. This year, graum.xyz turns 10 years old. The idea of creating a framework for free text forms—one that makes them visible, opens up conversation, and emphasizes the autonomy of the texts—arose from their own exploration.

They understand texts as free forms, scripts, or scores meant to be interpreted and read. Each reading is a process of approaching something potentially unfamiliar, a gesture of appropriation that in turn creates new text. The poems become code, executed on the wetware of the body. Like a spell, they invoke a new state of existence.

In readings, they work freely with the text inventory of graum.xyz, taking turns reading texts by various authors, sometimes in duplicate.
