ITINERANT INTERLUDES

We warmly invite you to the final days of Renovieren, a joint exhibition by Friederike Feldmann and Paul McDevitt, on view until April 18.
To mark the closing weekend, we are hosting a special evening of performances as part of ITINERANT INTERLUDES, curated by Laurie Schwartz.

The series brings together artists working with sound and performance in dialogue with ongoing exhibitions across Berlin, creating encounters between visual and aural practices.

April 17: ITINERANT INTERLUDE #2
Alexey Kokhanov and Natalia Pschenitschnikova, Stimmen

The performances begin at 7 pm and unfold as a sequence of shorter interventions across the space.

About the exhibition
In Renovieren, Berlin-based artists Friederike Feldmann and Paul McDevitt present a collaborative project that extends across almost the entire wall surface of the Kunstverein. Borrowing its title from the language of construction and repair, the exhibition reflects on painting through the tools, gestures, and materials associated with renovation work.
Feldmann’s expansive, gestural approach dissolves the boundary between image and architecture, allowing painting to spill onto the walls themselves. McDevitt, working from drawing and graphic intervention, introduces a layered and rhythmic visual language, playfully engaging with the materials and tools of the painter-decorator.
Together, their works transform the exhibition space into an active visual field, where walls become responsive surfaces and painting unfolds as both process and environment.
