The starting point for the publication 77 Frauen unserer Zeit (77 Women of Our Time) is the historical book Unsere Zeit in 77 Frauenbildnissen (Our Time in 77 Portraits of Women) from 1930. Alexandra Hopf continues it's concept in 77 reverse glass paintings depicting role models from the second half of the twentieth century, which were exhibited in 2025 at Kunstverein am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. The series asks which roles these women embodied, how they staged themselves, and who entered cultural memory or fell into oblivion. The book is published by Distanz Verlag and includes a foreword by Rebecca Wilton and an essay by Andreas Prinzing.
