GSL Projekt is pleased to present the Berlin premiere of new work by Norwegian artist duo Aurora Sander. Amongst others, the exhibition features "Reluctantly Gourmet" (2014) – an installation of a lavish 'dinner party' attended by anthropomorphized mechanical objects and sculptural forms including a peacock hostess and a robotic waiter. The scene is set for a mysterious narrative to unfold through the unique communications of the animate guests.

"It’s a textbook example: a bunch of friends and business associates, including yourself, are invited to dinner. The bon vivant is sooooo excited to see you even though everything which occupies you interests her only marginally. Nine dishes and twenty glasses later, the host falls to the floor. The guests debate who among them is the killer, only to discover that the killer is the butler. Whom of course nobody bothered to think twice about because he is just part of the inventory, as if the coat stand could ever be the culprit. Did you say Akvavit? The perfect complement to your dark and bitter secrets. Earn a little latitude and find pleasure in speaking a foreign language to become estranged from yourself." – Aurora Sander
